Our Commitment to Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, Belonging, and Accessibility

Children’s Research Triangle’s (CRT) mission is to provide equitable access to research-driven behavioral health services, training, research, and adaptive recreation to support the development and well-being of underserved children and youth, partnering with their families and communities to help them reach their full potential. We prioritize diversity and inclusivity in our staff culture and practices, actively working to challenge discrimination and dismantle oppressive systems. By continuously evaluating our programs, policies, and internal processes, we deliver culturally responsive mental health services to underserved communities, particularly BIPOC, youth with disabilities, and other marginalized groups from all backgrounds and identities. Our approach incorporates community voices and integrates clients’ strengths and backgrounds. We offer comprehensive clinical services, support and training through a culturally responsive lens. We aspire to foster a diverse, equitable, and inclusive organizational culture that supports the wellbeing of the communities we serve. Through a system promoting safety, understanding, and openness, we aim to establish sustainable action and adaptability as societal dynamics evolve.
