Comprehensive Developmental Evaluations
CRT’s team of evaluation professionals includes a pediatrician with experience in infant and early childhood mental health. A comprehensive evaluation will include an assessment of your child’s cognitive, fine and gross motor skills, receptive and expressive language, social-emotional, and adaptive development.
The pediatrician will work closely with you and your child, and the evaluation will include a diagnostic interview conducted with the caregiver, administration of developmental testing and play-based activities with the child, and completion of caregiver behavior rating forms. The pediatrician will perform a physical examination to include an assessment of medical concerns. For children where prenatal substance exposure is a concern, the pediatrician can also assess physical features associated with prenatal substance exposure. At the conclusion of the evaluation, you will receive feedback on your child’s performance and needs, as well as targeted recommendations for services and/or activities to support your child’s ongoing development. We will prepare and send a comprehensive written report after the evaluation.
